Where Wildlife
Comes Home

Abheda Biological Park is Rajasthan's 4th — and Kota's newest — zoological and biological park, inaugurated on 18 December 2021 by Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot and Shri Shanti Dhariwal. Spread across 143 hectares on the historic Nanta Road, it sits just 650 metres from the 13th-century Abheda Mahal.

The park's distinctive "O" shape holds a 1.5 km central walking track flanked by 44 spacious enclosures. Three functional zones — the Main Block, Administrative Block, and Green Belt — each offer a different experience. Construction began in 2016, was completed in 2018, and the park now houses tigers, lions, leopards, bears, wolves, hyenas and dozens of bird species, with more arrivals planned.

The name Abheda derives from Abhayaran — "the forest where animals live fearlessly." True to that spirit, the park is designed as a safe refuge for wildlife in the heart of Hadauti, complementing nearby Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve as part of Kota's expanding conservation landscape.

Three Zones, One Experience

The park follows an "O" shaped layout covering 143 hectares, divided into three distinct functional zones.

🐾
Main Block
The heart of the park housing the primary animal enclosures. The 1.5 km central track runs through here, with 44 large cages flanking either side. Big cats, bears, wolves, and herbivores are housed in spacious, naturalistic enclosures. Animal monuments and selfie spots are located within.
🏛️
Administrative Block
The operational spine of the park — housing the ticket counters, e-cart service, visitor information boards, staff facilities, veterinary unit, and park management offices. Restrooms and drinking water facilities are also accessible from this zone.
🌿
Green Belt
A buffer zone of native vegetation that supports the park's ecological integrity. Rich in bird life — over 125 species have been recorded here on eBird. A serene walking environment ideal for birdwatching, with seasonal ponds attracting migratory species during October–March.
